Donating to the Redwood City Library Foundation

A donation to the Redwood City Library Foundation enables the Redwood City Library to continue to provide services to the residents of Redwood City. Our current campaign is to raise $200,000 to expand the Fair Oaks Library collection. As of July, 2011 more than $160,000 has been raised and used to purchase high-demand books, DVDs, language audiocassettes, videos and magazines.

Donate Books and Media to the Redwood City Library

The Friends of the Redwood City Public Library operates a resale book store inside the main library to generate funds to support library programs and events. We accept donations of gently used hard cover and soft cover books, videos, and CDs. The donation box is situated inside the main library’s entrance. For large donations, come to the library’s back door for assistance..

We do not accept magazines, newspapers, encyclopedias, textbooks more than 5 years old, medical/nursing manuals, or training or company manuals. Please do not donate anything that is soiled, torn or has been in storage.
