SPOTLIGHT ON: Jeanie Lundell, RCLF’s Dedicated Monthly Donor and Library Volunteer

Writer: rclf-inforclf-info

Volunteering at the Library has been one of Jeanie Lundell’s favorite retirement activities for more than 10 years. She’s a regular “hold puller,” meaning she searches the shelves to find books people have put on hold and brings them to the librarians to process.

She also enjoys connecting people to the Library. Her grandson James, a high school senior, helps in the Makerspace with 3D printing. She recruited a friend to be a hold puller, too.

In a Love Letter to the Library, she wrote, “I appreciate the ways the staff has reached out to the community in a grand effort to make this everyone’s place to be. I just like being in the stacks. Volunteering at the Library and contributing to RCLF makes me feel more a part of the community and more in tune with my community.”

Already an RCLF donor since 2016, in the fall of 2023 Jeanie decided to give monthly. “I’ve been involved with nonprofits and I know it’s nice for an organization to know they will get that amount every month.”

You can become a monthly donor, too! Be sure to click “Monthly” or “Make this a recurring donation.”
