Donate Now & Potentially Double Your Gift

One of our board members, who works for a local biotech firm and pledges annual support to RCLF, just learned that her employer, like most large companies in the Bay Area, participates in employee gift matching. Employee gift matching is a corporate philanthropic program where a company financially matches monetary donations or volunteer hours made by their employees to eligible nonprofits.

It works like this:

1. An employee makes a personal charitable contribution to a registered 501(c)(3) or eligible nonprofit organization and submits a matching gift request via their employer’s corporate giving portal or HR department.

2. The nonprofit verifies the original contribution with the employer and the company disburses funds matching all or a ratio of the original gift (commonly 1:1, but sometimes 2:1 or higher).
