Opening Doors to Brighter Futures

For adults without a high school diploma, career advancement can be limited. But the Career Online High School (COHS) program—and some hard work—can open new doors. In September, the program celebrated its 10th year and 22nd graduate at a Redwood City Council meeting, recognizing five new graduates.
Isabel has participated in Project READ for several years and plans to attend community college to study cosmetology, with the goal of eventually owning a salon. Steve sees COHS as a second chance to qualify for better-paying jobs and is exploring college courses to expand his skills. Arturo, Christopher and Javier were not at the ceremony, but for all three, earning a diploma offers new career opportunities and a chance to make their families proud.
RCLF has helped fund COHS for many years, but support is needed now more than ever because state funding is no longer available. Your donation can help another student earn a diploma—and open the door to a brighter future.
Redwood City residents 19 and older are eligible for COHS. Find more information.
