This newsletter is full of stories that show what is possible when a community comes together for its library.
At the Redwood City Library Foundation (RCLF), we often say it takes a village to fundraise for the library—and this issue proves it. Donations, volunteer hours, sponsorships, grants, and events all help Redwood City Public Library (RCPL) provide opportunities that change lives.
Read about how we are helping bridge the digital divide so more residents can access reliable internet, online learning, and job opportunities. Meet one of our teen interns and learn how the library is helping shape the next generation of leaders. And read the inspiring story of a Summer Learning Challenge participant who later became a volunteer and board member.
See details about our recent Night at the Library fundraiser and our upcoming popular Pub Crawl event, both of which help raise critical funds for library initiatives. We also will highlight the four nonprofit organizations that support the library (including RCLF) and the many recurring donors, volunteers, business partners, and grant funders who make this work possible.
Because of this community support, the Foundation raises nearly $300,000 each year to expand library services. In 2025 alone, that support provided more than 900 Wi-Fi hotspot checkouts, over 10,000 attendees in Makerspace classes, nearly 2,000 online tutoring sessions, more than 7,500 Summer Learning Challenge participants, and almost 7,500 Teen Center check-ins, and so much more.
Thank you for being part of the village that keeps our library strong, innovative, and welcoming for everyone.
